A heartfelt THANK YOU for your support and hard work during this campaign. Although the results may not have been what we had hoped, our victory is found in every person we talked to, every life we touched and every friend we made.

This campaign was a fantastic effort by many wonderful people, and I am deeply grateful to you all.

Please remember that the work is never really finished until every voice in every community is heard and we are able to see meaningful and positive improvements in people’s lives. For now, rest up, stay in touch and keep the faith!

Candidates Meet for Coffee (no tea)

Something was definitely brewing at Something’s Brewing in Grayslake, Illinois on Tuesday, other than coffee and a storm. Two powerhouse Democratic candidates, Sheila Simon for Illinois Lieutenant Governor, and Laura Tomsky for Lake County Clerk, got together to meet some voters and share their insights on the 2010 elections, now less than a week away. The conversations were spirited, thoughtful, positive and brilliant. Toward the end of the event, State Senator Michael Bond (D-District 31), who is currently running for reelection, joined in to bring his perspective on the final week of campaigning.
